Haiti: November 2019
Redemption’s relationship with Haiti dates to the very beginning of Redemption. Haiti is one of the most impoverished nations in the world. In a country where human hardship and poverty is everywhere, out of such conditions, God is revealing his glory and power at the House of Hope and through Haiti Outreach Ministries (HOM).
Redemption (then CCJ) began the House of Hope as an orphanage in 2011 after the devastating earthquake in Haiti. We currently provide shelter, nutrition, healthcare, love, and hope for 16 beautiful girls from ages 4 to 16. They also get an education at an outstanding Christian school through a partnership with HOM.
On this trip, we will be spending time with the girls at the House of Hope and working on a yet to be determined project for HOM at one of their campuses, among other activities. We always remain flexible in Haiti, as plans can change frequently. We cherish the girls at the House of Hope and also the relationships we have built over the years in Haiti and specifically HOM and are looking forward to sending teams in 2019.
